Many people tend to think that there is no need of decorating kids’ bathrooms in a different way than the “adult” ones. If white tiles are good for the parents they should also be good for the kids, right?

Wrong. Just like kids’ bedrooms, children bathrooms can and should be decorated in a different way than parents’ ones. If we want to create a space where children would love to live, why shouldn’t we think also about decorating our kids’ bathrooms in a way they like?

Be careful, though. Kids’ bathrooms decorating can be extremely difficult if you want to do everything just yourself, without asking children for a piece of advice.

Of course, some of their ideas would be impossible or unpractical, but you should be able to get from them the main theme they would like to have in the kids’ bathroom. And having the main theme is crucial for choosing proper bathroom decoration. The themes may and will vary depending on kids’ age and temperament, but in most cases it would be some kind of a water theme.

Colors in the bath:

Generally speaking, children love strong colors and it is more than probable that they will want the kids’ bathroom to be red, pink or sky-blue.

While you shouldn’t argue too much, make sure that the color you buy would be as calm as possible – different shades of white or pal blue are usually the best.

Get your children involved:

As the main danger of kids’ bathrooms decorating is having your children dissatisfied, you should attempt to make them a part of the “decorating team”. If your kids spend enough time decorating their bathrooms, they will be less likely to disapprove its final look.
