California King Bedding: California King Is Different From Standard King Bedding

All right, you’ve just bought a California king bed and now you need the bedding to fit it. So you get your old standard king size bedding and… whoops! It doesn’t work! What happened? What is the problem?

Well, California king bedding is different from standard king bedding exactly the way a king size is different from California king size. Unfortunately, you can’t just swap beddings between them – it may work when you have California king bedding and you want to use it for standard king size bed, but it won’t if you try this the other way.

What size is that?

But what size are California king bedding (and bed) and why is it different from the standard king size? California king bed is 72” wide x 84” long. It is longer, but narrower than standard king size (76” wide x 80” long) – that’s why the bedding doesn’t fit perfectly if you want to swap it between the beds.

Buying California king bedding:

California king is the bed size popular on the Western Coast and the proper bedding can be easily bought there. But even if you live in New York, you’re not without chances. When your bedding doesn’t fit, start looking for the proper one from phoning the bed seller. If they sell beds of this size, they will probably also have California king bedding and even if they don’t do it, they will surely know where to buy it.
